RCPM - Terms of Use

Data produced by the Regional Climate-Change Projections from Multi-Model Ensembles ("Data").

By accessing and using this Data, you, the "User," agree to the following terms:

Use. The User is granted the right to use this Data for any non-profit, training, research, or educational purpose whatsoever -- and not for any operational or commercial purposes. The Data is provided to the User without any fee or cost.

Notice. When using the Data, please provide notice and acknowledgment as described on the Acknowledgements page. This website and all RCPM data are © University Corporation for Atmospheric Research.

Restrictions. The name NCAR and UCAR may not be used in any advertising or publicity or in any manner to endorse or promote any institution, products or commercial entity unless specific written permission is obtained from UCAR.

The rights granted are for Data use only, and do not constitute a license or transfer of title. UCAR does not grant any express or implied right to you under any patents, copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights with respect to this Data, web site, or any documents or materials.

In addition, the RCPM website requires users to submit personal information to make a custom analysis request. This information is used to ensure that requestors have a legitimate use for the data and to inform them of data availability. Information on organizational affiliations may be used for grant proposals, reports, and the like. Because this work is research in progress, contact information is retained after the analysis is completed so that users can be informed if at a later time errors or problems in the analysis are discovered.
